How can you tell how robust it was from just that? I have a hard time telling exactly how robust the animal is in the picture due to not being able to see most of it and the perspective. Care to go into more depth as to why you think it's too robust?

Best,

BrettBretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12168403050889835504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8251798530832316093.post-20271998959957207092010-09-22T16:55:29.945-07:002010-09-22T16:55:29.945-07:00The megaraptoran looks like Chilantaisaurus, due t...The megaraptoran looks like Chilantaisaurus, due to its robustness.

Tomorrow,
TaylorMackenzie Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03053036058117935122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8251798530832316093.post-70917755382651690592010-08-04T08:29:12.032-07:002010-08-04T08:29:12.032-07:00LOL! Oh - I give up on the Neovenatorid (I assume) on risk of just bringing up names till I can't possibly be wrong. I know there are at least two or three others waiting to be published, I just wish they'd hurry up.

Paul W.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8251798530832316093.post-27947622219840659992010-08-03T10:25:10.125-07:002010-08-03T10:25:10.125-07:00Thanks Marco!

Pretty good guesses, but I think you missed a Styracosaurus.

It's a hodge podge of time periods for a reason:)

Best,

BrettBretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12168403050889835504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8251798530832316093.post-81018349794179177672010-08-02T22:54:08.596-07:002010-08-02T22:54:08.596-07:00Do you mean younger, as in geological age or age o...Do you mean younger, as in geological age or age of discovery?

It looks comparatively smallish, judging from the hat, if it is to scale but looks too robust for Australovenator. There are no megalosaurs, unless that's one keeping an eye on Tyrannosaurus's meal and not another rex.

I know it's not important but, just for fun; I'll go Orkoraptor, Camarasaurus, Dilophosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus (eating a young theropod), Torvosaurus and Parasaurolophus. Oh, and Pteranodon and some other pterosaurs, in the air.

Paul W.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8251798530832316093.post-49743431020213948552010-07-30T13:06:44.372-07:002010-07-30T13:06:44.372-07:00Beautiful image, the back ground is really engagin...Beautiful image, the back ground is really engaging and the poses are really fearsom.

Marco.Marco Meredithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08561797747789433486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8251798530832316093.post-21434694919161716142010-07-30T07:29:38.674-07:002010-07-30T07:29:38.674-07:00Definitely in the right group Andrea!
